1972 1C Doubled Die Obverse MS67 Red PCGS. FS-101. Fiery copper-orange and rose-red hues blend over the glowing, satin surfaces of this Superb Gem Registry coin. The design elements are boldly rendered and there are no significant abrasions. A single, tiny carbon speck is hidden near the obverse rim at the back base of Lincoln's shoulder. Doubling shows on the date, LIBERTY, and motto. The 1972 double die cent is one of the most sought-after varieties in the Lincoln cent series. Population: 45 in 67 (1 in 67+) Red, 1 finer (6/17).
