1944-S 25C MS68+ NGC. As the only Plus-graded 1944-S Washington quarter at NGC or PCGS, this remarkably high-end Registry coin is the single finest example of the date known. Vivid pistachio-green, gold, and crimson toning on the obverse no doubt helps the grade, while the reverse is nearly brilliant. Both sides are satiny and well-struck. There are only a handful of coins in the MS68 numeric grade at either service. Census: 7 in 68 (1 in 68+, 2 in 68 ★), 0 finer (6/17).
