1787 COPPER Immunis Columbia, Eagle Reverse, Breen-1137, W-5680, High R.4, AU55 PCGS. CAC. These pieces are nearly always found on narrow planchets (26.5 mm) with a plain edge. One piece is known with edge ornamentation and a small number of examples are known on a wide 29 mm. planchet. A beautiful medium brown piece that has a glossy and unabraded appearance. Wear is generally limited to the eagle's breast. Unlike most examples of W-5680, the present piece has a full date. The peripheral legends are essentially intact as well, although a few letters are tight against the rim. Listed on page 57 of the 2018 Guide Book. Population: 5 in 55, 18 finer (6/17).
