Buffalo Nickels
1930-S 5C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. The rarity of the 1930-S Buffalo nickel in MS67 is well-established. There are no Superb Gems at NGC, and PCGS has seen only eight coins so fine. We have previously handled only two different examples in this grade, the coins appearing on seven collective occasions. This CAC-approved, Plus-designated coin is tied with one other MS67+ PCGS coin for the finest known. The other MS67+ was previously certified MS67 ★ by NGC. The present example is virtually flawless in preservation with smooth, satiny mint luster. Tinges of rainbow toning accent mainly olive-gold patina. Population: 8 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 2 in 67, 0 finer (6/17).
