Proof Buffalo Nickels
1913 5C Type One PR68 NGC. An extraordinary Type One Buffalo nickel. This one-year type had a mintage of 1,520 pieces, far fewer than the number of collectors who would like to an example for their collection. As with all copper and nickel products, carbon spotting can be a problem; however, it is not on this piece. This Superb Gem matte proof has full design motifs on each side with a light overlay of satiny mint luster that shines brightly through the lovely gold, blue, and violet toning. Census: 4 in 68 (2 in 68★), 0 finer (6/17).
