Proof Franklin Half Dollars
1956 50C Type Two PR69 Deep Cameo PCGS. Ex: Blue Ocean. The Two Type Franklin half dollars constitute an estimated 90% to 95% of the total mintage of 669,384 proofs for 1956. That is not to say they are plentiful in PR69 Deep Cameo, however. Quite the contrary is true. Every design element on this exceptional representative is fully impressed and thickly frosted white, standing out markedly against flawless, watery mirrors that glimmer black beneath a light. Eye appeal is outstanding and memorable. PCGS has seen only 75 submissions in PR69 Deep Cameo and none finer. NGC has also seen none finer (6/17).
