1878 8TF $1 Diagonal In 8, VAM-17, MS65 PCGS. CAC. A lovely Gem Uncirculated example of this major variety, with gorgeous violet toning consistent over the obverse while the reverse is a more subtle silver-gray with hints of the blue and rose that combine so well on the front. The 8 Tailfeathers pieces were struck before the 7 Tailfeathers varieties, making them the first of the iconic Morgan dollar series.
