1878 7/8TF $1 Strong, VAM-38, MS65 PCGS. Five tailfeather fragments emerge beneath the seven tailfeathers. This Gem is lightly toned pearl-gray aside from glimpses of peach and lavender near the rims. The surfaces are lustrous with a good strike and exemplary preservation. Only a single hair-thin line above the chin decides the grade. LIBERTY is widely shifted and the obverse legend and date are strongly doubled on VAM-38.
