1881-CC $1 MS67 PCGS. A mintage of 296,000 coins ranks among the lowest in the series, surpassed only by a couple of other issues like the 1893-S and 1894. The 1881-CC is, of course, far more available in high grades. This is a totally brilliant Superb Gem with radiant mint frost and strong strike detail. Each side displays marvelously preserved fields with just a couple of flecks. PCGS reports four finer grading events (6/17).
