1889-O $1 MS65+ PCGS. CAC. Ex: California. With a mintage of 11.8 million pieces, it would be expected that numerous high-grade examples would be available of the 1889-O dollar. That is not the case however. This is a remarkably clean and brightly lustrous dollar. Slight strike softness can be seen in the centers, as always, but the overall preservation of surfaces is nothing less than remarkable.
