1896-S $1 MS64 PCGS. CAC. This better San Francisco issue presents brilliant, softly frosted luster and has mostly unabraded surfaces. Some light grazes on the cheek and in the adjacent field determine the grade. This is a rare Choice 1896-S dollar with a CAC green label endorsement, and it is indeed high-end for the grade. A little bit of strike softness occurs on the central high points. CAC: 54 in 64, 8 finer (6/17).
