Morgan Dollars
1904-S $1 MS64 PCGS. No one knows for sure how many 1904-S dollars never saw distribution before they were sent to the melting pots. Few mint-sewn bags have emerged over the years, and no great hoards are likely to be found. While intermittent releases were made through the 1950s, not nearly enough pieces exist to satisfy the huge growth of silver dollar collectors. This near-Gem example is smooth and lustrous with a faint ivory sheen on the obverse and lilac hues on the reverse. The strike is incomplete above the ear and unavoidably weak on the eagle's breast and legs, but excellent eye appeal prevails.
