The obverse, from one of two dies used to strike 886 proofs in 1886, features light repunching on 18 in the date, and the second 8 has a small dash below. This brilliant Premium Gem proof dollar showcases blatant white-on-black contrast and flashy, unperturbed fields. Wholly devoid of color. Census: 6 in 66 Cameo, 9 finer (6/17).
