Early Half Dollars
1795 50C 2 Leaves, O-125, T-13, R.4, VF20 ANACS. Tompkins Die Stage 2/2. Minor die clashing confirms the late die state. Overton-125 is scarce overall, but examples can generally be found in middle grades without too much difficulty. The berries are arranged 9x8 on the reverse, with two outer berries on the right side of the wreath. Golden-brown patina colors most of this VF20 Flowing Hair half dollar, while cobalt-blue accents occur marginally. Although softly defined, the legends and devices are clear. Housed in a small-sized ANACS holder.
