Early Half Dollars
1801 50C O-101, T-2, R.3, Fine 15 PCGS. CAC. Of the two 1801 Draped Bust half dollar varieties, Overton-101 is the more frequently available, ideal for date representation or type purposes. The current coin shows uniform olive-gray fields with lighter tan-gray patina on the worn relief elements. The surfaces are generally smooth. Portions of the rims fade away, as is typical of this type in the middle grades.
