1809 50C III Edge, O-109b, R.4, AU55 PCGS. Rust spots are visible at the lowest curl and around the 9 in the date. A diagnostic die crack through AMERICA determines the O-109b designation, disfiguring some letters and extending to the arrowheads with broken patches before continuing on to the base of the denomination. This Choice AU example is boldly struck despite the late die stage. Dappled olive-gray and blue toning enriches the still-lustrous silver surfaces.
