Bust Half Dollars
1809 50C III Edge, O-111a, R.2, AU50 PCGS. This variety is easily identified by a comma-shaped die mark on Liberty's shoulder near the lowest curl. Faint die cracks at ED STATE and below the final A in AMERICA to the wing tip define the advanced O-111a die state. Dusky dove-gray toning deepens at the borders into mottled bluish-gray shades. The smooth surfaces are free of notable marks with nice original appeal.
