Bust Half Dollars
1811/10 50C O-101, R.1, AU53 PCGS. The spiked cap that accompanies the dotted date feature is faded but present on this richly toned O-101 representative. Brief glimpses of mint luster at the borders interrupt even olive-gray toning with fleeting orange undertones. As usual for the 18 dot 11 halves, the stars are flat on the left, sharper on the right. We note a series of small marks above the left wing shoulder to the scroll. This is a coin for specialists who prefer absolute originality of the surfaces.
