Bust Half Dollars
1812 50C Large 8, O-107, R.1, AU55 PCGS. A diagnostic die lump (or mound) adjacent to the left wing shoulder confirms a mid-to-late die state of the O-107 variety. Multiple die clashing is evident on the reverse, and the reverse is rotated approximately 60° clockwise. Despite the advanced state of the dies, this Choice About Uncirculated example is sharply struck with all but two of the stars fully and only a bit of rub. Bright silver luster remains beneath attractive amber-gold and gunmetal-blue toning.
