Bust Half Dollars
1817/3 50C O-101a, R.2, XF40 PCGS. One of the most distinctive overdates in the series, the 1817/3 is always a collector favorite. The Mint made no effort to efface an underdigit 3 beneath the 7 in the date, which retains its naked eye visibility in all grades. Attractive blue and olive-gray toning covers both sides of this late die state example. A sharp strike remains on the stars and motifs, with only a few tiny surface marks.
