1826 50C O-109, R.1, MS64 NGC. Both AT and AM touch with the bases aligned in the reverse legend, the only 1826 die pair with this characteristic. The final A in AMERICA nearly touches the top arrow. Brilliant with some translucent tan-gold and blue toning that intrudes from the border, this lustrous near-Gem example is sharp and and free of any distractions. The cap folds and hair curls are boldly defined, with only stars 1, 8, and 9 lacking full centers. A crisp, Condition Census coin according to both the Parsley and Herrman references (6/17)..
