Bust Half Dollars
1832 50C Large Letters, O-101, R.2, AU58 PCGS. One of the largest and most interesting die breaks in the Bust half series occurs on the Overton-101 reverse, where a heavy break curves from the left (facing) wing to the talons. This example also shows a shallow crease near star 10 and a slight bulge in the scroll area between E and PLURIBUS. Mint anomalies aside, the current coin is attractively toned in shades of reddish-gold, frosted, and highly lustrous. A touch of high point wear determines the assigned grade.
