Bust Half Dollars
1833 50C O-103, R.2, MS63 NGC. Star 8 is seemingly always flat on the O-103 variety, as it is on this Select Uncirculated example. A tripled forecurl and a defect at the upper left shield corner confirm the die marriage. Bronze-gold toning and blue overtones are evenly distributed across both sides, with a hint of iridescence throughout the smooth and nearly unmarked fields. We note a tiny planchet void between the top points of star 12.
