Seated Half Dollars
1878-CC 50C WB-101, Die Pair 1, R.4, VF35 NGC. Ex: Richmond Collection. An important Seated half dollar issue, the 1878 was the last of the design minted at Carson City, Nevada with a production of only 62,000 examples. A single die pair was used for that mintage. This example has pleasing light gray surfaces with faint hairlines beneath delicate champagne toning.
