Walking Liberty Half Dollars
1937-S 50C MS67 PCGS. CAC. The 1937-S is a scarcer issue among the dates and mintmarks from the 1930s. Several dozen Superb Gems are known, but none have been certified finer. As usual, this example has thick, swirling mint frost. The centers are nearly brilliant and surrounded at the rims by deep russet patina. Sharply, but not quite fully struck -- Liberty's branch hand is weak, but the head is full. Population: 38 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 20 in 67, 0 finer (6/17).
