1797 $1 9x7 Stars, Large Letters, B-1, BB-73, R.3, XF40 PCGS. Bowers Die State I. The most often seen die state has a pellet-shaped raised flaw below star 9. Broad, strongly struck borders are typical of the BB-73 variety. The stars, hair, and feathers also showcase sharp detail. Each side has a slight cameo effect, the result of light gray devices and deeper shades of gray in the fields. Flecks of aqua residue are seen within the hidden areas. The 9x7 Stars, Large Letters die variety is far more obtainable than its Small Letters counterpart and therefore suitable for type representation. Very scarce any finer.
