Seated Dollars
1845 $1 AU58 PCGS. OC-1, R.2. Osburn-Cushing Die State b/b. The low mintage of just 24,500 pieces makes the 1845 a slightly better date in the series. It is much rarer in Mint State, so near-Mint examples such as the present coin are in high demand among Seated dollar specialists. Myriad small marks and field chatter compromise the otherwise prooflike fields of this lightly toned, silver-gray example. The eagle's left wing is a bit soft a the top. Population: 15 in 58, 29 finer (6/17).
