1871 $1 MS62 ANACS. Despite an enormous mintage of over 1 million pieces, the 1871 Seated Liberty dollar is surprisingly elusive in Mint State grades. The present coin is a sharply detailed MS62 example, with extraordinary gold and violet toning on the obverse, while the reverse displays powdery gold and lavender colors.
