Trade Dollars
1877-S T$1 MS65 PCGS. Large S. An enormous quantity of Trade dollars was produced for foreign trade at the San Francisco Mint in 1877. Most were shipped overseas, and very few examples survive in Gem condition. This condition rarity offers full cartwheel luster that rolls over brilliant surfaces with decidedly clean fields. A touch soft at the upper obverse, but the eagle's leg and talons are razor-sharp. Population: 34 in 65 (3 in 65+), 8 finer (6/17).
