Liberty Quarter Eagles
1887 $2 1/2 MS63 PCGS. A sharply struck honey-gold Select example of this scarce low mintage date. The coruscating surfaces show fewer marks than anticipated. Philadelphia struck a record number (prior to 1921) of silver dollars in 1887, the likely reason for the tiny productions of gold coins at the facility that year. Population: 32 in 63, 22 finer (6/17).
