Indian Quarter Eagles
1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 PCGS. CAC. Strong D. It would be hard to image the 1911-D quarter eagle ever going out of style. Its tiny production of 55,680 coins is by far the lowest in the series, making this date-mintmark combination a standard among 20th century keys. While obtainable in Mint State, CAC-approved representatives are very scarcely made available. The strike is razor-sharp, including a boldly impressed D. Warm yellow-gold surfaces display glowing luster and few distracting marks.
