Liberty Eagles
1841-O $10 VF35 PCGS. Variety 1. New Orleans first struck eagles in 1841, and between a minuscule mintage of 2,500 pieces and voracious commercial demand, it is little wonder that few 1841-O eagles are known today. This well-struck mustard-gold example spent a considerable amount of time in circulation, as evidenced by light to moderate wear across the devices, yet the overall effect is pleasing despite scattered marks and abrasions. Population: 9 in 35, 36 finer (6/17).
Ex: ANA Signature (Heritage, 8/2007), lot 3154; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2010), lot 4012.
