Liberty Eagles
1856 $10 MS60 NGC. This piece is a textbook example of an MS60 coin, but one that nonetheless offers great eye appeal at arm's length due to the good luster and color. A closeup inspection reveals the scattered small- to medium-sized marks accompanied by a few larger ones, situated on the cheek and chin of Liberty. The strike is bold on the reverse, although strike softness shows on the obverse stars. Census: 15 in 60, 18 finer (6/17).
