1861-S $10 XF40 NGC. CAC. Even though 15,500 pieces of the ten dollar gold piece were struck in San Francisco mint this year, almost all of them entered circulation and stayed there. This piece shows even, light wear over the high points and each side displays smooth, reddish-gold patina.
