Liberty Eagles
1900-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Despite its proximity to the common 1901-S, the 1900-S is scarce in Uncirculated grades, and an important rarity at the Select level. Only 81,000 pieces were struck, and given the number of examples certified in XF and AU, it seems obvious that most 1901-S eagles were placed in West Coast circulation rather than set aside as bank reserves. This lustrous and sharply struck representative is refreshingly smooth aside from a couple of minor marks on the shield. Population: 22 in 63, 3 finer (6/17).
