1867 $20 MS62 PCGS. The reverse rim shows the most unusual marks near the C in AMERICA and the N in TWENTY. We thought they might be planchet laminations. But a closer look shows the exact outline of an obverse star across the rim. Now we are uncertain just what this is. The obverse rim also exhibits unusual rim marks near stars 7 and 10. The reverse field is abraded near the right scroll. Otherwise, a lustrous and boldly struck caramel-gold example with generally attractive surfaces.
