Liberty Double Eagles
1877-S $20 MS62 PCGS. This Mint State 1877-S double eagle is sharply struck and frosty with yellow-gold luster that shows hints of warmer rose in the centers. A gathering of abrasions on Liberty's cheek prevents a finer grade from PCGS but is not particularly bothersome to the unaided eye. PCGS has seen only 35 finer submissions (6/17).
