Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1920 $20 MS64+ PCGS. While readily available in lesser grades, the 1920 is an extreme rarity in Gem condition and it is unknown any finer than MS65. Jeff Garrett calls it the ultimate condition rarity of the Saint-Gaudens series. This lustrous and well-struck example is on the cusp of the finest-known. A few light field marks are grade-consistent, yet the eye appeal is excellent. PCGS reports just one finer example. Population: 75 in 64+, 1 finer (6/17).
