Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1924 $20 MS67 PCGS. The 1924 Saint-Gaudens twenty may be a common issue in lower grades, but there is nothing "common" about this lovely, high-grade example. The mint luster is noticeably "thick" on this piece and clearly frosted rather than satiny. The nearly perfect surfaces are instantly recognizable as belonging to a Superb Gem, as there are no obvious or mentionable abrasions on either side. This impression of quality is reinforced by the uniformly crisp striking details and the attractive and original peach-gold and lime coloration.
