COSTA RICA. Ten Piece Proof Set, 1970.
Fr-23/27; KM-PS3. Set includes: 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 200, 500, & 1000 Colones. Struck to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Central American Independence. Authorized issuance of 3,000 sets, but according to the Krause book only 570 sets were issued. With case of issue and certificate of authenticity serial # 501. The 1000 Colones has "501" and the 25 Colones has "5562" stamped on obverse. All are musty and lightly toned from sitting in the case for a prolonged period of time and minimal signs of handling. PROOF.
