FRANCE. Ecu Essai Struck in Silver, 1786-A. Louis XIV (1774-90). NGC PROOF-58.
KM-unlisted; Ciani-2202; VG-90. Well struck as would be expected being a Paris mint product with the fine details visible without the aid of magnification. Attractive slate grey on the obverse which deepens towards the peripheries while the reverse has warm russet in the open fields and deep tone highlighting the devices. Quite a handsome piece and sure to excite collectors of patterns. NGC PROOF-58.
