GREAT BRITAIN. Eleven Piece Jubilee Mint Set, 1887. PCGS MS-64 to MS-66+ Secure Holder.
cf.S-PS5; cf.KM-10; Fr-390/393. An attractive fully original set, including a custom blue velvet lined case with gilt "L." stamped on the front that appears to be contemporary. The silver pieces are fully lustrous and display and lovely smokey grey tone with blue and golden highlights while the nearly gem gold exhibits an attractive honey-gold tone throughout. A very well matched set mostly grading between MS-64 and MS-65 with great eye appeal. Clearly a set that sat for a prolonged period of time undisturbed. PCGS MS-64 (6), MS-65 (4) & MS-66+ (1) Secure Holder.
