GUATEMALA. 8 Reales, 1778-P. Charles III (1759-88). NGC AU-50.
KM-36.2; FC-25; El-31. VERY RARE and tied for finest certified of the date with one other example at NGC and none graded by PCGS. Good strike with plenty of detail in the design and a lovely medium grey tone on the obverse which deepens towards the edge while the reverse displays a softer grey with golden highlights amongst the legend and other devices. An excellent example and sure to excite the connoisseur of Spanish colonial numismatics. NGC AU-50.
