GUATEMALA. Pattern 5 Pesos Struck in Copper, 1894-CB. Heaton Mint. NGC MS-62 BN.
KM-Pn27; Sweeny-GA7a. RARE. Sweeny lists mintage figures of 17 pieces each for the gold 5 and 10 pesos patterns with an unknown amount struck in copper of the 5 pesos. An interesting piece deserving of more in depth research. Sharply struck as would be expected being a Heaton mint product with the minute details well defined. Original mint red in the peripheries and amongst the protected areas with lovely blue highlights. Sure to excite collectors of Guatemala or world patterns alike. NGC MS-62 BN.
