SOLOMON ISLANDS. Government of the British Solomon Islands. 10 Shillings, 27.7.1921. P-2a. PMG Very Fine 20 Net. Restoration.
The first of an incredible pairing of notes we are offering on this 1916 series on the Solomon Islands. All notes from this issue are rare and this 10 Shillings, along with the One Pound also offered, are the first we have seen or handled. Red primary inks make up the borders, under-print and arms at top with black forming the left and right counters, serial numbers and other worded detail. Close inspection reveals the very well executed restoration which we feel with aid the note in future survival. One of just a pair PMG has graded and a very important opportunity for the advanced Commonwealth collector. PMG Very Fine 20 Net. Restoration.
