MIXED LOTS. Orders & Decorations of the World, ND.
5 pieces in lot. A small but strong assemblage which contains: Belgium Order of Leopold Officer's badge with swords and silver clasp on ribbon (Barac-197d); Brazil National Order of the Southern Cross (Type III) Grand Officer badge and star set (Barac-91/2); Kingdom of Italy Grand Officer Breast Star (Barac-811) and a USSR Order of the Red Banner badge (Vernon-337). The Brazilian set is the most choice of all with vibrant and wholly intact enamels and attractively toned silver and gilt elements. The Italian star is intact but one of the white crosses shows some very mild scuffing and the Russian badge has been separated from its ribbon hanger although it is present. The Belgian piece exhibits considerable enamel loss in the wreath, the arms of the cross and the lion rampant on the central disc is reduced to only one paw. A group which offers nice vintage pieces and is worth a closer look. Retail value of about $1,000. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. VERY FINE to ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.

Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
