CHINA--PROVINCIAL BANKS. Shun Yee Bank. 100 Coppers, Year 34. P-UNL. PMG 25 Net. Rust.
Unlisted. An extremely rare note unlisted in the Pick book. This Year 34 note has a vertical format design with two dragons toward the top facing each other. A few other banks in China issued notes with this design, but this is the first of its kind we have handled from this particular bank. Five bats found on the reverse with a geometric underprint. PMG mentions Rust in the comments section but the rust is very minor and not distracting. A piece we expect to garner quite a bit of attention. Our experts believe that this note should be labeled a 100 Coppers, but was mislabeled on the holder. Very Fine
