CHINA. 500 Yuan, 1993. Peacock Series. PCGS Genuine--Rim Damage, Unc Details Secure Holder.
Fr-64; KM-600. VERY RARE 5 oz. gold coin, being the second to largest issue of the series. Beautifully rendered showing nearly every feather of plumage and detail in the frosted devices. The details grade arises from a 12 mm wide rim bump visible at the obverse 7 o'clock. There are some breaks in the frosting of the high points of the devices as well as a few stray contact marks in the fields. Nevertheless from a small mintage of only 99 pieces with this being stamped with serial #030 on the edge.
