Kent, 1975, Catalogue of the Sutton Hoo coins, blanks and billets, in R.L.S. Bruce-Mitford, 'The Sutton Hoo Ship-Burial', I, no. 22.
An example of this extremely rare issue from Arles was found amongst the 37 Merovingian coins in the celebrated 1939 Sutton Hoo treasure now in the British Museum, and helped to establish the burial date of the ship to the early decades of the 7th century AD. Very fine.
