Good Very Fine. Light smoothing to rev. Extremely Rare.

One of the unique characteristics of the this issue of low relief sestertii on the Augustan weight standard, is that they often have chisel cuts which look like test cuts, but have been interpreted as a sign of denominational revaluation, for the argument cf. A. Guadàn, Las monads de Gades, Barcelona 1963, p. 18.
